On November 24, a report released by TrendForce showed that the sales of NAND Flash in the third quarter of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix (including its subsidiaries) declined due to the weakening demand caused by the economic downturn.

Specifically, sales of Samsung Electronics fell 28.1% month on month to US $4.3 billion. Its market share fell 1.6 percentage points month on month to 31.4%, but it still ranks first in the world. Over the same period, the market share of Japanese Armour Man increased by 5 percentage points month on month, to 20.6%, ranking the second after SK Hynix.
